What this code is worth

The BET99 hockey promo code is NEWBONUS. New customers get a welcome mechanic up to $800 after a first qualifying wager, subject to the terms below. BET99 is one of two books on our roster registered with the AGCO in Ontario and one of two registered with the AGLC in Alberta, and it is Canadian, Montreal-based, licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission outside Ontario.

What follows is how to actually use the code, what the terms add up to, and whether it is worth claiming. If you want the book itself rated for hockey, read the BET99 review.

The $800 is not one lump. It arrives as four bonus bets worth 25 percent of each staked amount, credited 72 hours after each bet settles, so the full figure needs four qualifying bets and about a week.

How to claim it

Open the BET99 signup page using the CTA on this page.
Complete the account form. Enter NEWBONUS in the promo-code field, not the cashier field.
Verify your identity. Government photo ID and proof of address at signup. BET99 KYC is faster than most of the roster on Canadian documents.
Fund the account in CAD. The minimum qualifying deposit is on the operator terms page. Interac e-Transfer and card both work.
Place a first qualifying wager at or above the minimum odds published on the offer terms. Standard NHL moneyline on an underdog or a favourite at the higher end of the range typically qualifies.
Bonus credit lands after the qualifying bet settles. The structure is a matched deposit, not a bonus-bet token: read the terms page for the exact conversion mechanics on the current offer.

The terms that decide it

The variables that decide the value you actually keep:

Qualifying deposit. The offer scales with the size of the first deposit up to $800. Read the tiers on the operator terms page.
Minimum odds. The qualifying wager must clear the published minimum. Very short favourites do not qualify.
Wagering. Matched-deposit offers usually carry a rollover before the bonus converts to withdrawable cash. The BET99 terms page publishes the rate.
Expiry. The bonus expires if the rollover is not completed inside the offer window. Note the exact calendar day.
Excluded markets. Some prop combinations and futures do not qualify for the qualifying bet or the rollover. NHL moneyline, puck line and totals usually do.

Qualifying deposit of $20 and one cash sports bet to enter.
Paid as four separate bonus bets, each worth 25 percent of your staked amount.
Each bonus bet is credited within 72 hours of the qualifying bet settling.
Total maximum reward $800. Not available to persons in Ontario.

Who cannot use this offer

This offer is not available in Ontario or Alberta. Residents of those provinces should use the Ontario best books and Alberta best books lists.

Which hockey markets count

NHL moneyline, puck line, totals, three-way and standing player props all qualify on the standard offer terms. BET99 posts a boost calendar on Canadian teams (Habs, Leafs, Oilers, Flames, Sens, Jets, Canucks) that lives outside the welcome offer and adjusts prices on selected fixtures. Boosted markets can qualify for the welcome as long as they clear the minimum odds. Confirm on the operator terms page.

Can you stack it

The BET99 welcome cannot be combined with the daily boost credit or the referral bonus. Take the welcome first, then the reload and loyalty offers separately as they land. One welcome per account, per household, per payment method: BET99 enforces duplicates on all three.

What happens if you skip the code

If you complete signup without entering NEWBONUS, the welcome is not applied and BET99 will not add it retroactively. Enter the code in the signup form and confirm it appears on the account summary before depositing.

Verdict

Worth claiming for a Canadian hockey bettor who was going to open a CAD account anyway. The matched-deposit structure is friendlier than a bonus-bet token if you plan to wager the rollover on hockey markets you would have played regardless. If you are opening the account only for the offer, be honest with yourself about the rollover: an $800 match with a rate you cannot clear inside the window is a marketing screenshot, not $800.
